Directions: Energizing Peppermint Mocha Protein Patties
In the bowl of a food processor, add the Ascent Peppermint Mocha Whey Protein Powder, almond butter, honey and espresso powder. Blend until smooth and combined. Add the hazelnuts and pulse until coarsely chopped and incorporated.
Use an ice cream scoop to portion the patties into one-ounce balls. Use the palms of your hand to shape the portions into symmetrical balls, then use your fingertips to press the balls into flat "patty" shapes, about 1/2 inch thick.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Stir in between intervals until smooth.
Drizzle patties with melted chocolate and sprinkle with crushed peppermint.
